In the secluded hills of Calaveras County is a small gold mining town called Mountain Ranch which still has the original outpost from the Gold Rush Days. The serene beauty of pine trees, wild flowers and foliage makes it a spectacular ride up and back. This small little town boasts the well known Sender’s Deli and Market which is very popular to the locals and resides inside the large Ace Hardware and Feed Store where you can find anything and everything!
Come join me and either bring your own brown bag lunch or buy an amazing sandwich at Sender’s Deli. You won’t be disappointed and it’s like you have stepped back in time many years ago. We will have lunch across the street at the community park. We will be traveling one last time across Michigan Bar Road before it closes for a few months beginning May 1st for a bridge repair. This will take us through Ione, up to Railroad Flat, and to our destination of Mountain Ranch. You will love the beauty and tranquility of the area with a few twists and fun roads. This should be approximately a 5-6 hour ride including lunch and breaks. We should be back in the Folsom area between 3-4:00 PM. Hope to see you!
